The SC-3120 Sound Calibrator is a precise standard sound source of piston-phone type which accurately calibrates a sound level meter. It drives the piston in the cylinder in reciprocating motion to generate sine-wave sound having a fixed sound pressure level.

The SC-3120 is applicable to IEC 60942:2003 Class 1/C (JIS C1515:2004 Class 1/C)  and calibrates a sound level meter with high accuracy and stability.

It is used for calibration of Class 1 or Class 2 sound level meter and sound measurement instruments including microphone which is used for sound power level measurement.


    • Applicable to IEC 60942:2003 Class 1/C (JIS C1515:2004 Class 1/C). It can be used for calibration of Class 1 or Class 2 sound level meter.
    • Generating high sound pressure at 114 dB decreases the affection by back ground noise.
    • It can be used for calibration of 1/2-inch or 1/4-inch microphone by Ono Sokki. (1/4-inch microphone requires adapter which is provided with the MI-3140 preamplifier as a standard accessory.)
